Bianca Gichangi
A recognised leader in African carbon markets, Bianca has spent over a decade advancing carbon market policy and climate finance across Kenya and the continent.
From the Office of the Special Envoy for Climate Change, she led the office's role in the development of Kenya's Carbon Market Regulations (2024), providing strategic direction, high-level stakeholder coordination, and technical guidance. She was the Regional Lead for Africa at the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI), leading the Access Strategies Programme to support governments to strengthen carbon market readiness. Bianca was also the inaugural Coordinator of the Eastern Africa Alliance on Carbon Markets and Climate Finance, strengthening regional capacity on Article 6 and the VCM.
She has served as Kenya's lead coordinating Article 6 negotiator, was a member of the UNFCCC Article 6.4 Mechanism Roster of Experts, and sits on the Advisory Board of the Carbon Markets Africa Summit.
Bianca holds an MSc in Climate Change and Policy from the University of Sussex and a BEng in Environmental Engineering from the University of New South Wales.

Ravi Raichoora
Ravi Raichoora is a climate finance strategist and carbon market specialist focused on connecting international policy, investment, and market development across Africa.
He most recently served as Special Adviser on Carbon Markets and Climate Finance to the African Union Development Agency, AUDA-NEPAD, where he supported continental efforts to strengthen Article 6 readiness, carbon market governance, and Africa’s participation in international climate finance. His work included supporting the development of the African Integrity and Equity Principles for Carbon Markets, a continental framework designed to improve integrity, transparency, and equitable value creation in African carbon markets.
Prior to joining the African Union, Ravi worked in the UK Government’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, DESNZ, where he led the UK’s contribution to multilateral carbon funds, including the Carbon Initiative for Development, Ci-Dev, and the Transformative Carbon Asset Facility, TCAF. His work supported results-based climate finance, Article 6 cooperation, mitigation activity development, and carbon crediting programmes across Africa and Asia.
He has also worked across the UK’s domestic bioenergy, hydrogen and carbon removals innovation investment portfolio, supporting companies to scale up low-carbon technologies.
Ravi holds an LLB Law from Aston Law School.

Tijani Nwadei
Tijani brings over a decade of leadership across finance and risk, project management and public administration. He began his career as a Risk Analyst with NextEra Energy and spent seven years in the energy sector across the United States, France, Switzerland and Nigeria.
As Executive Aide and Technical Adviser to the Governor of Edo State, he led the delivery of strategic projects including the Benin Enterprise Park, the Edo Jobs Initiative and the Edo State Oil Palm Project — later adopted nationally by the Central Bank of Nigeria. At Nuera he applies this blend of finance, development economics and public-sector delivery to design sustainable frameworks that drive policy impact, institutional reform and inclusive growth.
Tijani holds a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from Texas Christian University and an MSc in Global Development Economics from Boston University.
